MOVIE REVIEWS In this autobiographical film from IN BETWEEN DAYS director So Yong Kim, two young girls are left behind by their mother. Sent to stay with their hard-drinking aunt, the sisters wait for their mother to return. When that doesn't happen, they are moved to their grandparents' house, where they must take care of each other. THE WIRE's Idris Elba stars in this thriller as a man who seems to have a perfect life. He is married to Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles), and he has just earned a promotion at work. But destruction looms when a pretty temp (HEROES' Ali Larter) grows a little too fond of him. Akira Toriyama's beloved manga attacks this silver screen in this adaptation from director James Wong (FINAL DESTINATION). Justin Chatwin (THE INVISIBLE) stars as Goku, the man responsible for saving the world from villains such as Piccolo (played by BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER's James Marsters). The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk, is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock, was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before. Eric Bana#39;s directorial debut quot;Love the Beast,quot; documenting a quarter-century love affair with his 1974 Ford Falcon coupe, could easily be dismissed as a vanity project. Except that the immensely likable Australian actor seems incapable of conceit.
